The Illinois Falls Prevention Coalition brings together community organizations, healthcare providers, and advocates to help older adults stay safe, active, and independent.

Fourteen million, or 1 in 4 Americans age 65+, falls each year.

Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries among older adults.

In 2021, falls caused 38,000 deaths among those age 65+, and emergency departments reported 3 million visits due to older adult falls.

Join the Coalition
Adding your information to the Coalition Directory connects you to future communications and automatically enrolls you as a Coalition Member—there are no membership dues or fees. Coalition meetings are held virtually every other month.
Coalition Members are encouraged to join a workgroup, where we collaborate around shared goals and move the work forward together.
